Bonding Beyond the Desk: Interdepartmental Team Bonding

This quarter, we swapped spreadsheets for shuttlecocks, meeting rooms for mosaic tiles, and office chairs for bicycle seats — all in the name of connection. Staff across departments came together on various days for sessions of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition through three exciting bonding activities — coaster making, cycling, and badminton — followed by a scrumptious dinner.

Over at the coaster making workshop, colleagues unleashed their creative side, crafting personalized coasters with mosaic tiles and resin. It turned out to be the perfect low-key setting for cross-department chats, with many taking home a handmade souvenir (and a few unexpected art skills).

For those craving fresh air and a bit of adrenaline, the cycling group pedaled their way through scenic trails, building stamina and camaraderie one mile at a time. Meanwhile, on the badminton courts, smashes and rallies brought out everyone’s competitive spirit, with cheers and laughter echoing between games.

Beyond the fun, these sessions gave colleagues from different teams a chance to connect outside their usual work context — sparking new friendships and stronger collaboration back at the office.
